About Vetified
Our Story
Vetified was started by two pet parents with almost a decade of experience in veterinary dermatology and topical product development.
One of our founders adopted Lily, then a 2 year old Stafford, from the Pasadena Animal Shelter in Los Angeles. She came home with one small skin issue after another.
Spotting the symptoms or getting a diagnosis from the vet was only the start. Finding the right product was the hard part. Most labels led with chemical names, few said clearly what they were for, and it was hard to know what was really inside.
At one point he ordered a product from a social media ad. It shipped from overseas, and when he looked up the ingredients on the bottle, they didn't match what the ad promised. He soon found out that was common. Many pet products sold online are produced abroad with little oversight of what goes into them, and make claims their ingredients can't back up.
We built Vetified to fix that: made in the USA in cGMP compliant facilities, clear labels, full ingredient lists, and free guides and a Skin Checker that take you from symptom to the right product.
We're not the only brand that cares about this. Where we make a difference is in the details. Every product is made for one specific issue, so you know exactly what to use without hours of searching and research. Fragrance is kept as light as possible, formulas leave out harsh ingredients they don't need, and each one strikes the right balance between effective and gentle.
Our Mission
Vetified brings veterinary grade care at home. We make health and grooming products for dogs and cats, with a clear focus on what goes into every bottle.
Our medicated products list their active ingredients on the label, and we only make claims we can support. Our products are made to support routine care at home and are not a replacement for your veterinarian.
Our Approach
Our medicated products use established active ingredients such as chlorhexidine, ketoconazole and hydrocortisone. Our educational content is based on published peer reviewed research, including journals such as Veterinary Dermatology, JAVMA (Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association) and Journal of Small Animal Practice.
Always follow the label directions, and talk to your veterinarian if your pet's symptoms are severe, spreading or not improving.
